"There's just too much that time cannot erase."

Who: Asher Rose and Jenna Greene
What: Moment of truth
Where: Knightshead Liquor HQ
When: Monday night

Asher had learned a lot in these past few days. More than he had been willing to let himself learn ever since he took his own life and had this other cursed existence in its place. At Asher's desperate need for help, the Toreador Primogen, Xavier Carlise had come to his aid and taken him directly to the Prince - to Eric's brother. Asher hadn't really been within his right mind since Brodie fell ill. He was sticking close to him, and Brodie's consciousness was patchy at best. Asher stayed close but kept a safe distance whilst Ben had ensured Brodie had constant medical aid whilst he stayed in the sanctuary of the Kindred HQ. Asher had agreed to allow Xavier reveal everything to Brodie, and it took a lot of strain off Asher. Xavier was hundreds of years older than him, and he knew how to best approach this... but only when Brodie was feeling well enough to take it. Which meant, it was all just a waiting game now.

But enough time had passed that Caleb would very soon begin to fear the lack of contact from Brodie. Asher needed support and help. He needed to seriously think about revealing his true horrific tale to the people who mattered to him the most if he had a hope in hell of continuing to exist for Brodie. If Brodie didn't live and didn't want to be Embraced, Asher was ending this, and he didn't want to end it in the shadows and hurt more of the people he loved. Maybe - just maybe - there was a glimmer of hope he no longer needed to exist in terrified solitude and fear of himself.

Which is what led him to here. Sitting in the private lounge at the bar of Knightshead Liquor, where patrons of the bar were only admitted by invitation. Considering Ben and Eric were at the helm of the entire company, it was generally only a place for Kindred or mortals in the know of The Masquerade. Tonight, Asher had invited Jenna here to meet him because it was now time to talk with her but he could not physically remove himself from the building and away from Brodie. This was as far as he would go, and only knowing Brodie was under Xavier's watchful eye. He was seated at the bar waiting, sipping from a champagne flute containing a dark red liquid that would be easily mistaken as red wine.

Of course, it was far, far from red wine and his long fingers caresses the neck of the glass while he sat there and waited for her to arrive.
