What's happened?

I am bringing Luka to spend time with Seamus. He spent all last night in a frenzy. I have seen him in a total of 1.5 frenzies his entire Kindred life.

I will speak with Jett and explain to him that this is not something he can interfere with further. He spoke with me a bit about it.

He can attempt to interfere all he likes. It will not stop me proceeding with this. I understand his turmoil, but I will not see one of my own in such distress. Jett does not understand, but you have to also see that neither does Seamus.

I support your decision, Xavier. Jett is intelligent, but I think he's coming to realize that maybe Seamus and young Luka need each other.

I truly do wish this was not the case, because it would be so much more easier for everyone collectively. However, if they are soul mates, and Seamus is already in a frenzy from trying to stay away when he has the pull, it is only going to get worse. It could mean the next time he is in Luka's presence in the future, he will want to rip him apart to consume him. If it is a soul mate bond, it is a very strong one.

The last thing I want is for Seamus to do what you did with Greg because you were trying to protect him by staying away. Let them spend time together. I will have a word with Jett, and I think at this point, he may be more understanding. Luke has spoken of leaving because he feels that he has no choice in who he spends his time with. He's angry with Jett over it.

I did not even know myself when I tried to part from Greg. Seamus is in distress the longer the time goes. Luka is no doubt confused by all the push and pull, and if my experience with Greg is anything to go by, Greg wanted to be intoxicated to shut the feelings he was having out when we were not together. If the boy is, indeed, wishing to cease his life, it may have dire consequences. On the flip side, Seamus may have the ability to erase the psychological distress Luka is under.

Because you were no more meant to part from Greg than you were to part from your legs underneath you. It is a heavy thing to be separated from the one to whom your soul belongs... Like walking around as half a person. Luka has already admitted to me that, when he's near Seamus, the pain goes away.

That seems like such a simple concept and observation from him. But he is a boy who carries a distinct amount of pain with him, physically and mentally. The enormity of this is very serious. However, at the same time, I cannot blame Jett for being protective. Greg is much the same of Trystan these days.
